Bayankhongor Province or Bayankhongor Aimag is a Province of South-West Mongolia. It borders on the Peoples Republic of China in the South. Neighboring Provinces (Aimags) and Nations are in clockwise direction - Arkhangay Province in the North, Övörkhangai Province in the North-East and East, Ömnögovi Province in the South-East, the large expanses Gobi Desert of the Alxa League in Inner-Mongolia Autonomous Region of China to the south-east, south and south-west, Govi-Altay Province of Mongolia to the West, and last Dzavkan (Zavkhan) Province in the North-West.
